A human rights toolkit helping future communications practitioners uphold and defend human rights
Despite the significant role of communication in shaping public opinion and advancing human rights, there is a lack of human rights education for communication students in the Philippines. The "I Know, Rights!" toolkit was designed to enable communication students to confidently promote and integrate human rights in their work through human rights concepts and guides on incorporating design thinking with human rights campaigns.
Through the workshop, the stakeholders were able to create a toolkit prototype, from which we gathered insights on what they would like to see in the actual toolkit.
We turned stakeholder insights into a usable, understandable, youthful, and practical toolkit.
We consulted reviews from human rights lawyers to strengthen the toolkit.
